“ Even on a busy St Patrick's Day weekend, this place slaps. Had great chicken schnitzel and everything fresh, home made you can tell. Drinks were good and so was the server. Ask the bartender about going upstairs after your meal. Will deff be coming here again when I come back to Detroit ”
“ Outstanding restaurant! Great location near Renaissance Center. There are plenty of open and closed paid parking garages. I loved the decor of the place, like a historic place. Quick service, friendly staff. Family atmosphere, I visited one Sunday afternoon with kids and was perfect. TV'S, good music and most important thing the food was mouthwatering. Fresh ingredients and authentic German recipes. Highly recommend ”

“ This place is advertised as the oldest bar in Detroit. It was recommended by the corner store. Plenty of 70's and 80's music, and it felt comfortable. The service was excellent. I had the Schnitzel (pork with caper sauce) and it was legit. Comes with thick potato pancakes, and purple sauerkraut. The Schnitzel was excellent, the potato pancakes could have been a little crisper, and the sauerkraut could have used more spice, but all in all, very good. ”
“ Love this place. Every time we go in dude with the long beard is super nice and strikes up a conversation with us when checking how things are. To feel like a regular when we only make it in 2-3 times a year is such a treat. With that said, you really want to go for the food. The fries are amazing, fried pickle spears a delight, and everything else just perfect every time, with one exception. The Impossible Burger does not need extra salt added, they are seasoned enough for the factory so maybe not add any like you would your regular patties. Outstanding beer selection of you really only want a drink. ”
